Schools using Avalon Achieve®
The best way to understand what Avalon Achieve® does is to see what it’s done for schools already using it. Here’s how Richard Challoner School in Kingston has built their enrichment programme on the platform — and what they’ve found.

About the school
Richard Challoner School is a Catholic secondary school in Kingston upon Thames with a strong tradition of student enrichment. The school runs a broad programme of extra-curricular activities across sport, arts, volunteering, and wider life skills — covering all five Ofsted Enrichment Benchmark categories.
What they needed
As enrichment provision grew, so did the administrative burden. Coordinating registers, tracking student participation across dozens of activities, identifying which students weren’t engaging, and producing evidence for Ofsted and senior leadership was taking significant staff time — with no central system to bring it all together.
How they use Avalon Achieve®
The school runs Avalon Achieve® under their own brand: the Challoner Challenge. Students log in to their school’s platform, track their progress toward awards, log outside-school activities, and receive recognition for their participation. Staff use it to take registers, identify students who need encouragement, and generate compliance reports on demand.
- Enrichment activities mapped to all five Ofsted Benchmark categories
- Student award progress tracked and recognised through the Challoner Challenge points system
- SEND, PP, FSM and EAL student participation filtered from MIS data via Wonde
- White-labelled with the school’s name, crest, and branding
- Sixth form prefects and house captains given role-based register access
- House points integrated — running totals visible by house and year group

Education is about developing the whole person. The wider curriculum is an essential part of this development and has often been neglected, as schools have focused on those key performance indicators that are reported each year. The flexible nature of Avalon Achieve® means you can decide what to track and how to track it, depending on the unique set of circumstances that your school finds itself in. In doing so you can recognise and celebrate the achievements of your students outside the classroom and in areas that in the past have been missed. Why wouldn’t you do this?

What students say
The Challoner Challenge has been a great initiative. The system of rewarding student involvement has led to a large increase in club attendance — creating a greater sense of achievement for participation and a stronger school community.
