Knights of the Guild: A Warrior's Tale

It's the one-of-a-kind RPG classic

Avalon, the idea of a “game” is replaced by an all-encompassing presence, and what started out as a pastime ends up becoming a second life. If you’ve chosen to become a Knight in the expansive game world, there are a few things you should know. First, this imposing character is a pure physical warrior. Magical realms are rejected and hard work – as in working on the physical prowess of your character: weapons, swordplay, endurance, and melee – is needed to accomplish dominance.

To be a Knight requires quick thinking, aggressiveness, and a fearless approach to the Avalon world. This warrior’s armour isn’t worn by the faint of heart. A Knight is a master of combat, both offensively and defensively, and will stay until the battle’s done. These soldiers of sword share their origins with the Knights of Mercinae and were formed by Conan of Parrius in the 8th century. Even the Gods pay homage to the mystique of these proud, brave combatants.

The Avalon world is enormous in size and virtually never-ending in detail. Wholly unlike anything you’ve ever played before, Avalon’s role-playing nature bullies video poker and other games, and decimates browser-based first-person shooters. With characters like the Warriors of Parrius, Avalon has cemented its position as the world’s #1 RPG for two decades.

To be of the Knight's profession in Avalon means being a member of one of four guilds, the Knights of Mercinae, The Warriors of Parrius, the Cavaliers of Thakria and a spiritual branch in Springdale, the Paladins. This union of like-hearted warriors was founded to uphold the ideals of justice, honour, freedom and the defence of the weak in the city of Light, Mercinae. Though be warned; those among you lacking fortitude, honour, dedication and self-discipline will fail mightily at your Knightly calling.

Players with skills in other games might find their tenacity and discipline carries them far in the Avalon world. But even those with fire in their hearts might fall short of the honour-laden role of a Knight. Possessing the Endurance, Weaponry, Chivalry and Warcraft skills makes Knights fierce competitors and loyal compatriots.

Upon taking on the role of the Knight, you leave the outside world behind and enter a duty-bound existence of brotherhood and selflessness in the name of freedom. You will be the first line of defence in your chosen city and face the fiercest battles that take place in Avalon. Those who think of Avalon as simply a game need not apply for this demanding position.
